Agenda

Packet

This is the start of the budget review process in the City. Typically these are more casual workshops, however this is meeting as the city council will be voting on painting crosswalks.

Below are my preliminary thoughts and initial positions going into the meeting. Please email me at if you would like to discuss further.

Agenda Items

1. Painting crosswalks

  • Summary:
    • The city wants to paint crosswalks throughout downtown as may have worn away.
    • Money for this comes from the capital reserve funds. ### How Sam Sees It:
  • We should paint the crosswalks in the city. It is a safety hazard.

2. Budget Presentations

Throughout the month of June, the City Council will be discussing the City Manager’s proposed budget line-by-line. This is a chance for the City Council to see where the City Manager wants to spend money.

This meeting will cover the following:

  • School
  • Clerk’s office
  • Finance office
  • Welfare office

I plan on writing department specific pieces later this month.
